Public Health IS Housing

Housing as a health intervention, plus the funding, research and facilitation tools you can use before your next coalition meeting.

A person cannot recover in a place that keeps making them sick. Mold, heat, eviction notices, three moves in a year — these show up in the chart long before anyone calls them a health problem.

So when we build a health plan without a housing partner at the table, we are planning for a version of the community that does not exist. Invite the housing authority, the tenant organizers, the landlords who will actually answer. Then ask what would change if the clinic and the lease were treated as one system.
